Alcohol Abuse Prevention is a 1-hour long session designed to focus on the prevention of alcohol use and/or abuse by individuals of legal drinking age (21 and over in the U.S.).  Concerns are addressed and discussed regarding underage drinking as well as the laws that are associated with drinking while underage, driving while drinking, etc. In addition to the class, officers give real life situations that involve alcohol related incidents as well as allow the participants of the class to try out the infamous “Beer Goggles”.  The goggles are designed to allow a sober individual to experience the feel of having alcohol in one’s body.
